Documentary Shorts Block #2

"Land Meets Sea" (dir. JP Talty) -- Students at Niceville High School wake up, put on their grey NaGISA t-shirt, get on the bus, and participate in a global marine biodiversity program followed by lunch.

"Drill, Spill, Repeat" (dir. Courtney Owen / Claire Douglass) -- When it comes to offshore drilling in the U.S. one overarching theme stands out — Drill, Spill, Repeat. Four years after more than 200 million gallons of oil gushed into the Gulf, the BP disaster serves as much more than a bad memory. Before we make the same mistake and open up the Atlantic to offshore drilling, we sent a crew to capture the stories of the people in the Gulf.

As we share stories of harrowing despair, inspiring resilience, and the perseverance of the American spirit, we hope to ignite a conversation and more importantly, concrete action to stop the expansion of offshore drilling.

"Ocean Connectors" (dir. Roosevelt Palafox) -- This is a mini documentary about a non-profit environmental education program (OCEAN CONNECTORS), that links youth in underserved communities along the Pacific Coast. Ocean Connectors works with children in National City, California, U.S.A., and Southern Nayarit, Mexico, to create global awareness and inspire environmental stewardship.
